670,000 Nizhny Novgorod residents voted as part of the "You Decide!" project.

      A public vote within the governor’s project "You Decide!", aimed at supporting residents’ initiatives, has concluded in the Nizhny Novgorod region. This year more than 670 thousand people (671,007) took part in the vote, which significantly exceeds last year’s figure — about 590 thousand participants.

      The region’s governor, Gleb Nikitin, thanked everyone who expressed their civic position and noted the importance of this form of interaction between the authorities and the population.

      "Voting is the most democratic and effective way to understand which projects are truly important to people. It allows us to more precisely determine priorities and to create a comfortable environment exactly where it is most needed. I thank everyone who took part — your votes have become a clear guide for us," the head of the region emphasized.

      The vote took place from October 15 to December 1, 2025 on the online platform golosza.ru. This year more than 800 applications were submitted to the competition by residents of various districts of the region.

      Among the districts of Nizhny Novgorod, the greatest activity was shown by residents of the Avtozavodsky, Sormovsky and Kanavinsky districts. Among the leaders among municipal formations were Arzamas and the Borsky district.

      The public vote is the most important stage of the competitive selection. Based on its results, the winning projects that will receive funding from the regional budget for implementation in 2026 will be determined at the end of December.

      Earlier it was reported that 71 ideas from Nizhny Novgorod residents have been brought to life thanks to the "You Decide!" project.
