The moment an 11-year-old child was killed by two cars in Vyksa was captured on video.
December 2, 2025 08:11 Incidents A video (18+) has emerged of the road accident that killed an 11-year-old boy, which took place in Vyksa on November 26.
Recall that the tragedy occurred near No. 31 Stepan Razin Street. The child was crossing the roadway when he was hit by a Kia Carnival driven by a woman. The boy fell onto the road from the impact, and a second car — a Kia Soul — then ran over him. It was also driven by a woman.
The child suffered fatal injuries and died before the ambulance arrived. A criminal case has been opened on charges of violating traffic rules and vehicle operation. The progress of the investigation is under the supervision of the prosecutor's office.
The program "Kstati" (16+) published footage of the moment of the accident. The frames show the boy hesitating for a long time before stepping onto the road because passing cars did not slow down. At the moment he begins to cross, an imported car moves off from the intersection, turns left and hits the child. The fallen boy is immediately run over by the following car, which did not brake.
The incident provoked an active reaction among Vyksa residents. In the comments under the video many complained about poor lighting in the city. Although the crash occurred in daylight, at about 16:05, users are calling on the local administration to take measures.
The head of the local administration, Vladimir Kochetkov, commented on the situation. He expressed his condolences to the deceased's relatives and noted that the tragedy occurred in an area with a speed limit of 20 km/h.
"The issue of compliance with traffic rules remains relevant and is mandatory for all road users," Kochetkov emphasized.
According to the administration, in 2024 twenty pedestrian crossings in the city were fitted with lighting. In 2025, four additional crossings were installed on Akademik Korolyov Street — two with traffic lights for vehicles and two with pedestrian signals.
Earlier it was reported that the woman from Nizhny Novgorod who had been hit by the imported car died in hospital.
