A car rally was held in Bogorodsk in memory of combat veterans.
A motor rally titled "Memory in the Heart, Memory for the Ages…" was held in Bogorodsk in honor of fellow townspeople who died during the special military operation and other local conflicts. The initiative for the event came from the mothers and widows of the fallen soldiers, as well as from combat veterans. The event was organized by the local branches of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization "Nizhny Novgorod Border Guard" and the All‑Russian Public Organization "Combat Brotherhood." Active support was provided by the administration of the Bogorodsky municipal district and the Volunteer Center of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
More than 100 residents of Bogorodsk and Nizhny Novgorod took part in the motor rally and commemorative events, including veterans of hot spots and their family members, city enterprise employees, and active youth from the district.
"Thank you to all the participants who joined the motor rally. Events like this are very important for the families of our fellow townspeople who are now at the front. It is important for our servicemen to know that their military labor is supported at the rear. Together we are stronger!" noted Andrey Zakharov, chairman of the regional Council of Veterans.
The column of vehicles traveled along routes significant to the city that link the memory of different generations of heroes. The motor rally concluded at the chapel commemorating the townsmen who died in the special military operation. This chapel was built by the couple Sergey and Lyudmila Bardin in memory of their son Alexander.
"For us, this motor rally is much more than an ordinary event. It is a road laid by a parent's heart, a woman's fidelity, and brotherly solidarity. When an initiative is born in families who have lost their closest ones, the event acquires a special meaning — we help this personal, deep memory to come out into the streets of the city so that it can be expressed, heard, and felt by everyone. This is healing work for our entire society — to remember not formally, but truly, uniting in a common outpouring of gratitude and grief. And we will always be by your side so that this voice of memory continues to be heard," emphasized Yuri Rylov, chairman of the Bogorodsk branch of the Nizhny Novgorod regional public organization of border service veterans "Nizhny Novgorod Border Guard."
The climax of the motor rally was a solemn gathering at the Eternal Flame. Participants honored the memory of the fallen heroes with a minute of silence and laid flowers at the memorial.
