Specialists from the chemical-toxicological department of the Nizhny Novgorod testing laboratory of the Federal State Budgetary Institution "VNIIZh" have identified a product that potentially poses a health risk. The product in question is butter, in which deviations from regulatory standards were found.
Analyses were conducted from November 5 to 18. Based on the results, specialists recorded violations in two key criteria: "fatty acid composition" and "presence of fats of vegetable origin."
As experts explained, deviations in the fatty acid composition directly affect the quality of the butter and can harm the body. Such an imbalance can not only reduce the nutritional value of the product but also provoke serious health problems. Products with an altered composition increase the risk of cardiovascular diseases, can cause digestive disorders, allergic reactions, inflammatory processes, and metabolic disorders.
All information about the identified noncompliances has been sent to the "Vesta" system and also forwarded to the regional office of Rosselkhoznadzor for the Nizhny Novgorod Region and the Republic of Mari El.
Earlier it was reported that over 50 tonnes of dairy products without documentation were withdrawn from circulation in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
