The prosecutor's office has taken an interest in a major fire at a shopping pavilion in Gorodets.

      On the afternoon of November 21, a fire broke out in a shopping pavilion located on Figner Street in Gorodets. The fire started in the basement level, where, according to preliminary information, a clothing store was located.

      According to the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM), 11 firefighting units were involved in extinguishing the fire. Fortunately, no injuries have been reported.

      City prosecutor Vladimir Mityurin went to the scene. He is personally overseeing the investigation and the work of the emergency services.

      The Prosecutor’s Office of the Nizhny Novgorod Region is keeping the situation under control. All details of the incident are currently being clarified, and the actions of the firefighters and other services involved in responding to the incident are being evaluated.

      Earlier it was reported that a criminal case was opened after a man died in a fire at a car service in Nizhny Novgorod.
