The Nizhny Novgorod project "Dialogues with Gorky" won the grand prix of a federal award.

      The digital project "Dialogues with Gorky" (0+), created by the Department for Tourism Development and External Relations of Nizhny Novgorod, won the grand prize of the national tourism award "Route of the Year". This was reported by the city's mayor Yuri Shalabaev on his social media pages.

      The interactive project featuring a virtual double of the writer Maxim Gorky was named the best at the award final, which took place in Perm.

      The Nizhny Novgorod development beat out competitors from Tambov, Moscow and Pervouralsk, which took prize-winning places in the overall standings.

      According to the department, the victory was in the category "Best Modern Digital Technologies in Tourism", which was introduced this year alongside another new category — "Best Inbound Tourism Route". More than 320 projects from 54 regions of Russia and the Republic of Belarus took part in the competition.

      It was previously reported that tourist traffic to Nizhny Novgorod is expected to grow by 10% in 2025. It was also reported that deputies of the Nizhny Novgorod Duma proposed digitizing all city memorials and monuments.
