More than 900 bottles of unlicensed alcohol were found in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

      The Minister of Industry, Trade and Entrepreneurship of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Maxim Cherkasov, said that since the beginning of the year the ministry’s specialists have conducted 31 inspections of retail outlets in the region. During these operations numerous violations were identified, 28 administrative protocols were drawn up and more than 900 units of alcoholic products were seized.

      During one of the latest raids over 300 bottles of alcohol were seized in the Kanavinsky District of Nizhny Novgorod.

      Following the inspection, the inspectors found violations related to the absence of licenses and accompanying documents for the products being sold. Administrative offence proceedings have been initiated against the offenders.

      Unscheduled raids are carried out based on citizens’ complaints, as well as thanks to analytics provided by the interagency management system for control and licensing developed by the ministry.

      It was previously reported that alcohol sales ban zones will be approved in Nizhny Novgorod.
