A mobile format of the "Social District Police Officer" project has been launched in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
In the Nizhny Novgorod region, at the direction of the region’s head Gleb Nikitin, a new — mobile — format of the "Social District Officer" project has been launched.
"We are launching the 'Mobile Social District Officer' project at the instruction of Governor Gleb Nikitin. He proposed this initiative at the project forum held in September. The new working format is an off-site reception of citizens instead of the usual foot patrols of assigned areas. The project covers residents of remote territories, closed settlements and housing complexes. People only need to go out into the yard to meet the social district officers, learn more about their work, and submit their appeals and requests," said the head of the "Social District Officer" project, CEO of the Autonomous Nonprofit Organization "House of National Unity" Roman Koshelev.
It took only two months to launch the mobile format of the project. Special branded vehicles were prepared for the social district officers and a schedule of visits was drawn up.
"There are about 1,000 social district officers working in the region. Each one has an assigned area. This can be an apartment building, a housing complex, or a private sector. We regularly patrol our territories, communicate with residents, and collect appeals. People know us, and we understand what concerns residents in a given area: some lack a children's playground, some are unhappy with puddles on the roads. And there are territories that are not assigned to any of us. So that people can learn about our work and leave appeals, this mobile working format was conceived," said social district officer Natalya Lototskaya.
The first mobile reception of citizens took place in the Moskovsky District of Nizhny Novgorod. For a week, social district officers worked daily at 31a Morisa Toreza Street. This is a remote neighborhood where it is difficult for social district officers to carry out foot patrols.
"The mobile working format is convenient both for residents and for us, the social district officers. We hold receptions in an equipped vehicle. During such outreach receptions we tell people about our project, inform them about improvement programs and support measures. We collect questions and initiatives in order to take them into work and involve the relevant agencies in resolving them," added social district officer Alla Bondarenko.
"Very convenient! On our way home we dropped by the mobile social district officers. We asked questions, left our wishes about what we would like to change in our yard. It's a good idea to organize such visits. We had heard about the social district officers, but they had not come to our homes. Now we've met them and will be contacting them," shared local resident Elena Krylova.
Over the coming week the social district officers are working in the Avtozavodsky District on Vedenyapina Street; mobile teams are then scheduled to visit the Nizhegorodsky District on Sloboda Podnovye Street and the Prioksky District on Akademika Sakharova Street.
