Vyksa's "Quantorium" has enrolled students for its first academic year.

Vyksa's "Quantorium" has enrolled students for its first academic year.

Information technology, industrial robotics and the study of natural sciences at the nanoscale made it into the top three most in-demand directions. The application period ended in November 2025.

The training will consist of engaging lessons that will become part of the general school curriculum, and extracurricular classes that will be held according to original programs specially prepared for the technopark. The curricula were developed with the assistance of the Nizhny Novgorod Kvantorium and Oryol State University. Classes at Kvant OMK will be taught by school teachers, by faculty from the National University of Science and Technology MISIS, and by senior university students who have received special training to work with children.

The schedule will be arranged so that pupils can combine school and additional classes. Students will attend twice a week for six months. After completing one course, they can continue at the next level or switch to another direction.

At the Vyksa Kvant OMK, children will be able to try out different fields and decide on a future profession. Applicants will choose one of six areas of study: promrobokvantum (industrial robotics, 7+), IT-kvantum (information technologies, 7+), bio-nanokvantum (natural sciences — study of biology at the nanoscale, 13+), autokvantum (unmanned transport, 13+), energy-kvantum (alternative energy sources, 13+), media-kvantum (media production, 13+).

“We have already completed student recruitment for this academic year. It is pleasing that demand was high and the people of Vyksa are interested in quality engineering education. Kvant OMK is designed for 800 students a year, and we received one and a half times that many applications. Therefore, during the year we will separately develop curricula for operating the technopark in two shifts and during the summer holidays so that every child who wants to can study with us. The first classes will take place before the end of this year; we will hold them in the form of master classes. In January we will launch full-cycle training and will finalize the schedule for the rest of the school year and for the summer. Our children's education center is fully ready to receive children, including those with disabilities — all the building's spaces have passed an accessibility audit, and we are awaiting the start of operations,” said Angelina Blinova, acting head of the Vyksa Kvantorium.
