      As of 15 November 2025, the navigation season for small vessels in the Nizhny Novgorod region has officially ended. This was reported by the press service of the regional branch of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (EMERCOM).

      The agency reminded that after the end of the season it is prohibited to use small vessels on bodies of water. The ban applies to both non-motorized and motorized navigation — including electric motors. It is also forbidden to leave boats with installed motors on the water outside of designated parking areas.

      Owners of such watercraft must put them in order and prepare them for storage.

      Suitable storage includes a garage, shed, canopy, or at least a tarpaulin cover. It is also important to drain water and fuel and lubricants from the tanks to avoid damage and fires.

      "Going out on a vessel after the navigation season has closed is a breach of safety requirements and entails great risks!" the EMERCOM added.
