Nizhny Novgorod utility workers repaired dangerous entrances after being fined.

      In Nizhny Novgorod, a management company put the entrance areas of an apartment building in order after a corrective order and a fine from the State Housing Inspectorate, the regional government's press service reported.

      The inspection was prompted by complaints from residents of building No. 3 on Timiryazeva Street. During the inspection specialists found serious violations: broken steps, unsafe canopies, and peeling paint on the walls and doors.

      According to the head of the Nagorny department of the State Housing Inspectorate, Maksim Kartunov, in July 2025 following the inspection the management company was issued a corrective order. The legal entity was held administratively liable; the fine amounted to 260,000 rubles.

      Work to eliminate the violations was completed at the end of October. All six entrance groups were repaired and prepared for the winter period.

      Since the beginning of 2025 the Nagorny department of the inspectorate has received more than 12,000 complaints from residents about the unsatisfactory performance of management companies and resource suppliers. As a result of inspections, inspectors issued fines totaling 21 million rubles.
