Support from LUKOIL for Silver Volunteers

      November 5, 2025, 17:01 Society — Project: The project of the public organization for social support "From a Pure Heart" of Kstovo District, Nizhny Novgorod Region, became the winner of PJSC LUKOIL's 2024 Competition of Social and Cultural Projects.

      The aim of the project "Grandmothers' Secrets" is to preserve and transmit family values and the traditions of Russian everyday life from the older generation to children from large and low-income families. With the Company's support, conditions have been created for an ongoing dialogue between older and younger people, the transfer of experience, and the preservation of continuity. This is a continuation of the project that won the 2023 Competition and was implemented with LUKOIL's support.

      Volunteers dressed in traditional Russian sarafans, shirts and skirts sewn by hand teach the children to knit mittens and socks, sing Russian folk songs, tell fairy tales and pose riddles in order to build trusting relationships.

      During the project's implementation, silver volunteers held 12 creative events and master classes in folk crafts and organized 30 interactive individual celebratory events with gifts for the children, giving them their warmth and care.

      "The project gave older people the opportunity to feel needed in society, and the children to feel like beloved grandchildren. Regular joint events help strengthen social ties between generations. In total, 10 silver volunteers and 60 children took part in the project. Many thanks to LUKOIL for supporting our ideas," said Olga Frolova, chair of the public organization for social support "From a Pure Heart."
