      The Moskovsky District Court has remanded political strategist Mikhail Khaluga in custody until January 4, 2026. The regional court’s press service told NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" about this.

      The defense petitioned to replace the measure of restraint with a less severe one. However, the court denied the request.

      Recall that earlier the investigation reclassified the charges against Khaluga. Initially, he and the former executive secretary of United Russia in Dzerzhinsk, Maria Kilina, were suspected of receiving a commercial bribe on an especially large scale, but Khaluga is now listed in the case as an intermediary in the transfer of the bribe. Kilina’s charge remains unchanged.

      It was also reported that the court extended the detention of the former head of GUMMiD, Andrey Levdikov, until December 15.
