A passenger plane operating a flight from Saint Petersburg to Moscow was forced to change course due to unfavorable weather in the capital region.
According to 78.ru, the Sukhoi Superjet 100 of the Rossiya airline was scheduled to land at Sheremetyevo Airport at 07:30. However, the thick fog enveloping Moscow prevented the crew from making a safe landing.
As a result, the aircraft was diverted to the alternate airport in Nizhny Novgorod, where it landed successfully.
A "yellow" level of weather danger was declared in Moscow the day before.
According to the latest reports, the airports of the capital's aviation hub are now operating normally.
