The R-158 highway will be closed overnight for the Gagarin Avenue bypass.

      From December 2 to 4, night-time traffic restrictions will be introduced at the 15th km of the R-158 Nizhny Novgorod — Saratov highway. Passage on the section between the village of Olgino and Blizhny Borisov (Kstovsky District) is planned to be closed daily from 02:00 to 04:00.

      According to the Federal State Institution Uprdor Moscow — Nizhny Novgorod, the temporary measures are related to the installation of framed support structures on the overpass under construction, which is part of the highway project "Gagarin Avenue Bypass in Nizhny Novgorod (Phase 2)". The project was initiated by the government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region and LLC "KSK-11"; the contractor is DSK "Avtoban".

      For the duration of the closures, the following detour routes are recommended:

      • Option 1: via Novinki, Oksky and then along the Nizhny Novgorod bypass on the M-7 "Volga" highway;

      • Option 2: via Beshentsevo, Zhdanovsky, then along the Kstovo bypass, through the Kstovo industrial zone and along the Nizhny Novgorod bypass.

      Drivers are asked to take the restrictions into account when planning trips, to choose alternative routes in advance and to comply with the temporary traffic management scheme at the work site.

      Earlier it was reported that the Ministry of Urban Development approved the planning of the section for a parallel road to Lenin Avenue in Nizhny Novgorod.

      Also, it was reported that traffic on the Rodionova Street bypass is planned to open on November 7.
