Torpedo-Gorky lost to Zauralye 1-4.

      Torpedo-Gorky hockey players lost to Zauralye 1–4 in an away game of the VHL regular season on October 31.

      Dmitry Kosmachev’s men conceded two quick goals right at the start. On the 59th second Kirill Vasilyev converted a power play, and a few seconds later Serafim Nizovtsev scored — 0–2. In the 6th minute Roman Opalev reduced the deficit, but shortly after Alexander Shikun restored the home side’s advantage — 1–3. After that there was a goalie change for Torpedo-Gorky: Dmitry Dagestansky was replaced by Lorens Zinaddin.

      In the second period Sergey Kolesnikov made it 4–1. In the third period Zauralye scored another goal, but after a video review the goal was disallowed due to offside.

      “The game was decided in the first period. From 1–3 it was hard to get back into the game. I think we lacked aggression in attack. We were too passive throughout the game,” noted the head coach of the Nizhny Novgorod side.

      Torpedo-Gorky are currently in 5th place in the championship standings with 28 points.

      The next match (6+) the team will play on November 2 in Omsk against Omskie Krylya.
