In Nizhny Novgorod, the jury for the regional stage of the festival was selected.
A jury for the regional stage of the VII season of the festival of children’s and youth ensembles of the Volga Federal District “Teatralnoye Privolzhye” has been formed in Nizhny Novgorod. Applications to take part in the regional selection are being accepted until November 15. This was reported by the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
By tradition, the chairman of the festival jury was appointed Leonid Chigin, director of the Nizhny Novgorod Theatre School named after E. A. Evstigneev. Also included in the jury were: Andrey Bogdanov, a teacher at the Nizhny Novgorod Theatre School, laureate of the Nizhny Novgorod Prize and laureate of the regional theatre festival “Season Premieres”; Ivan Pachin, chief director of the Nizhny Novgorod State Young Spectator’s Theatre, Order of the Badge of Honour; Ivan Starzhinsky, an actor of the Nizhny Novgorod State Academic Drama Theatre named after M. Gorky, Order of the Red Banner of Labour, laureate of the Nizhny Novgorod Prize “Nizhny Novgorod Pearl” and laureate of the V. S. Sokoloverov scholarship-prize; and Polina Gaponenko, consultant of the Department for the Support of Art and Education in the Sphere of Culture of the Ministry of Culture of the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
Jury members will review video recordings of children’s and youth theatre productions submitted from across the Nizhny Novgorod Region and select the best ensembles. Regional selection events will take place from November 20 to December 20 — during this period experts will view video versions of performances, and in-person presentations of the best productions will also be organized.
As a reminder, amateur children’s (participants’ ages 6–17 inclusive) and youth (ages 18–35 inclusive) theatre ensembles and studios from the regions of the Volga Federal District may take part in the festival. Applications for participation in the regional qualifying stage are submitted through the festival website teatralnoeprivolzhye.rf using the “Submit application” button.
The festival organizers are the Office of the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President of the Russian Federation in the Volga Federal District, the Fund for Assistance to the Development of Civil Society Institutions in the Volga Federal District, the state authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation located within the Volga Federal District, and the regional branches of the Union of Theatre Workers.
