Torpedo-Gorky starts its road trip with a victory over Yugra

Torpedo-Gorky hockey players secured their fifth consecutive win, beating Yugra on the road 3–1.
Ilya Chefanov opened the scoring with an accurate shot — 0–1. Despite a number of dangerous moments for the hosts, they failed to equalize.
The second period went scoreless. At the start of the third period Dmitry Kosmachev’s men increased their lead. Roman Opalev once again beat the hosts’ goalkeeper — 0–2. However, Yugra did manage to find the net and pull one back while playing 6-on-4 — 1–2. The final score was set by Nikolay Mayorov, who scored into the empty net — 1–3.
The Nizhny Novgorod side began their road trip with a victory, extending their run of good form. At the moment the team sits fifth in the Supreme Hockey League (VHL) regular-season table with 27 points.
The Avtozavod team will play their next game (6+) on 29 October in Tyumen against the local Rubin.
Earlier it was reported that players from the Torpedo system had been called up to Russia’s junior and youth national teams.
