The fence on Malaya Pokrovskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod will be repaired as part of a large-scale upgrade of the city’s infrastructure. This was reported to NIA "Nizhny Novgorod" by the municipal institution MKU "GUMMiD".
According to the agency, the repair will be part of a project to redevelop the historic Zapochainye district, which includes a major overhaul of Malaya Pokrovskaya Street. "Design work is currently underway," the municipal institution explained.
The exact start dates for the repair work have not yet been specified.
Earlier, "Kommersant-Privolzhye" reported that in 2026 the authorities intend to allocate 65 million rubles for the installation of a fence near building No. 1 on Malaya Pokrovskaya Street. And in the current year they will allocate 600 thousand rubles for the development of design and estimate documentation.
It was previously reported that the timelines for creating a terraced park in the Pochainsky Ravine of Nizhny Novgorod will be adjusted. This project in the historic city center involves creating a terraced park with recreational areas, an amphitheater, a skatepark, bicycle and pedestrian paths, as well as viewing platforms and water features.
