      28 October 2025 09:40 Society — In Nizhny Novgorod, design and estimate documentation is being prepared for the execution of the third phase of the large-scale improvement of 1 May Park, reports pravda-nn.ru citing MAUK "Directorate of Parks and Squares of Nizhny Novgorod."

      At this stage, a comprehensive reconstruction of the infrastructure is planned. In particular, the park’s fences will be restored, the drainage system will be improved, and the area adjacent to the pond will be landscaped.

      The city administration believes that the implementation of the third phase will "significantly improve the functionality and aesthetic appeal of the park," making it more comfortable and modern for residents' recreation.

      Recall that the park improvement works began in autumn 2024. As part of the first two phases, the main pedestrian alley was paved, light poles, CCTV cameras and small architectural forms were installed. A network of walking paths was also created.

      On the opening day after the completion of the second phase, the renovated 1 May Park was visited by almost 55,000 people.
