NNDK will allocate 5 billion rubles to the construction of hotels in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

      October 24, 2025, 14:00 Economy — NNDK will invest about 5 billion rubles in the construction of two new hotels in the Nizhny Novgorod region, the company said.

      The projects are being implemented jointly with the federal operator Cosmos Hotel Group, with which an agreement on the development of hotel infrastructure has been signed.

      The first hotel, with 102 rooms, will be opened in Gorodets; the second, with 232 rooms, will be built on Kovalikhinskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod. Both sites were chosen in tourist-attractive locations with a high flow of guests.

      Cosmos Hotel Group will act as a consultant during the design stage. The company will also take over hotel management, including staff recruitment, employee training and marketing and promotion.

      It is noted that both projects have been approved for preferential lending under the national project "Tourism and Hospitality."

      According to Sergey Yakovlev, Minister of Tourism and Crafts of the Nizhny Novgorod region, the region is experiencing a shortage of hotel rooms amid growing tourist traffic. He noted that, thanks to a systematic approach, 16 new hotels are planned to open in the region by 2030.

      Earlier it was reported that six historic buildings in the Nizhny Novgorod region could be converted into hotels.
