The head of the company "Ritual" from Dzerzhinsk has found herself at the center of a case on the embezzlement of budget funds. She held the position of deputy and chaired the committee on combating corruption, but she herself was accused of taking bribes, fraud and exceeding her authority. This was reported by "Kstati..."
The investigation showed that not only the director but also her subordinates took part in the schemes. Employees of the enterprise created "dead souls" — fictitious people registered in the cemetery archive, through whom budget money was siphoned off.
The scheme operated for several years until it came to the attention of law enforcement agencies. The court sentenced the director to a suspended 7-year prison term.
