The final stage of the "Bust-Bridge" project will take place in Nizhny Novgorod on October 20.

      The final stage of the annual educational project "Bust-Bridge" (18+) will take place on October 20 at the Rekord Cultural Center.

      On the sidelines of the event there will be a reception of oncologists from the Nizhny Novgorod Regional Clinical Oncology Dispensary and the Clinical Diagnostic Center. Women over 18 will be able to receive a free consultation with a mammologist and, if necessary, undergo a breast ultrasound (for those under 40) or a mammogram. Examinations will be carried out on a first-come, first-served basis and by specialist referral.

      In the evening there will be a musical wellness performance "Tell Me, Tell Me" (18+). The production will feature well-known women from Nizhny Novgorod who will share personal stories related to the project. Among the heroines are the wife of the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Ekaterina Nikitina, and singer and mother of many children Natalia Ivanova.

      Recall that the "Bust-Bridge" project has been implemented since 2015 with the support of the Government of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, the regional Ministry of Health and ANO "Center 800". Its main goal is to raise awareness about breast cancer and the importance of timely diagnosis.

      As part of the initiative, until October 20 women in Nizhny Novgorod can get a mammogram free of charge at public institutions.

      It was previously reported that more than 2,000 new cases of breast cancer are detected annually in the Nizhny Novgorod Region.
