The court ordered the Interior Ministry to dismiss a Nizhny Novgorod police officer for loss of trust.

      A former inspector of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for the Nizhny Novgorod Region engaged in commercial activities by providing transportation services to citizens, which is prohibited by current legislation for employees of internal affairs bodies, the regional prosecutor’s office reported.

      Despite the violation, the contract with the police officer was terminated at his own request, and not on the grounds of loss of trust, as required by law.

      The prosecutor’s office went to court demanding that the Ministry of Internal Affairs be obliged to dismiss the employee specifically on the basis of loss of trust. The court satisfied the claim and ruled that the ex-police officer must return the compensation payments he received, as well as the income obtained from entrepreneurial activity.

      In addition, his name will be entered in the register of persons dismissed due to loss of trust.

      Earlier it became known that the head of the migration department of the Kstovo police department had been detained for exceeding his official powers.
