The leadership of the volleyball teams "Gorky" and "Sparta" received support from the VFV.

      In Moscow, at the office of the All-Russian Volleyball Federation (VFV), a significant working meeting was held, bringing together the federation’s leadership, the administration of Nizhny Novgorod and representatives of the region’s leading volleyball clubs — Gorky and Sparta. The event was dedicated to discussing key aspects of the development of volleyball in Nizhny Novgorod Oblast.

      The meeting considered strategic directions for the development of professional volleyball in the region and mechanisms for cooperation between the clubs and the federation. Particular attention was paid to improving sports infrastructure and promoting volleyball among the population.

      Deputy Head of Nizhny Novgorod Leonid Streltsov emphasized that the city administration is interested in expanding opportunities for sports participation and supporting both grassroots and professional volleyball. He noted that cooperation with the VFV and the Gorky club represents an important step toward achieving these goals.

      Sergey Andrievsky, director of the Gorky and Sparta clubs, expressed gratitude for the recognition of the club’s work in developing young talents. In recent years, 13 volleyball players from Nizhny Novgorod have been included in the rosters of various Russian national teams, which became possible thanks to the club’s efforts. He also noted that he is ready to continue cooperating and move in the same direction as the federation.

      The president of the VFV, Stanislav Shevchenko, is expected to pay a reciprocal visit to Nizhny Novgorod Oblast in the near future, which will be another important step in strengthening the partnership among the federation, the administration and regional clubs.
