The size of the basic academic scholarship at Nizhny Novgorod universities amounted to almost 3,200 rubles, calculated the portal "Zhivem v Nizhnem" based on orders and information from the universities' press services.
At the largest university in Nizhny Novgorod — Lobachevsky Nizhny Novgorod State University (NNSU) — first-year students receive 2,900 rubles in the first semester. Higher scholarships are available to Olympiad winners and high scorers: 10,000–15,000 rubles.
Those admitted to the Nizhny Novgorod Polytechnic will receive 3,120 rubles during the first semester, but after the first exam session payments increase — honor students can receive up to 6,230 rubles. A high state academic scholarship is paid to budget-funded students studying at the Volga University of Water Transport. Its amount is 5,400 rubles.
