With the onset of autumn, the labor market in the Nizhny Novgorod region has begun to noticeably cool. According to hh.ru, in September employers started posting fewer vacancies, while job seekers, on the contrary, became more active.
Over the month, Nizhny Novgorod companies posted just over 25,000 vacancies, almost a third fewer than in September last year and only 2% more than in August. At the same time, résumés increased by 32% year-on-year and by 7% month-on-month. There are now about five applicants per vacancy.
Most offers remain in the manual labor sector — 24%. Next are sales and customer service (23%), and rounding out the top three are manufacturing and maintenance/service (16%). Also among the leaders are construction and real estate, transport and logistics (14% each), retail trade and domestic staff (11% each). These sectors together account for more than 90% of all vacancies in the region.
Full-time work remains the most common employment format — about 15,800 vacancies. Part-time employment is represented by roughly 2,000 vacancies — 17% less than a year ago, but 15% more than in August. Shift work fell the most — down 40% year-on-year. Vacancies with a flexible schedule increased by 16% compared with August.
Remote work remains stable — about 2,400 offers, the same as a month earlier. Rotational work has slightly increased — there are now about 2,000 such vacancies, 6% more than a year ago.
Despite rising competition, salaries in the region are still increasing. Project-based vacancies lead — up 23% year-on-year (from 70 to 86.2 thousand rubles). Full-time employment rose 20% (to 76.5 thousand rubles), part-time 16% (to 71.4 thousand rubles).
Salaries rose most for remote work (up 30% to 64.8 thousand rubles). Full-time — up 19% to 73.7 thousand rubles; shift work — up 8% to 56.6 thousand rubles. Slight salary decreases were recorded for flexible schedules (-2%) and rotational work (-1%).
Earlier it was reported that employers have increasingly been refusing to hire smokers from Nizhny Novgorod.
