The New Year's street decorations will cost Nizhny Novgorod 5.7 million rubles.

      The authorities of Nizhny Novgorod have allocated 5.7 million rubles for decorating the city's streets and squares for the New Year and Christmas holidays. This information appeared on the public procurement portal.

      Under the contract, various decorative elements will be manufactured and installed: posters, flags, flagpoles and placards. These decorations will appear in different districts of the city.

      The New Year decorations will cover locations such as Revolution Square, Blagoveshchenskaya and Komsomolskaya squares, the area by the Sports Palace, Friendship Alley, Victory Park, Karl Marx Street, Betankur Street and several others.

      The organizer of the procurement is the City Center for Construction and Architecture. Applications to participate in the tender will close on October 23, and the electronic auction to select the contractor will be held on October 28.

      According to the contract terms, all work, including dismantling and disposal of the holiday decorations, must be completed by February 23, 2026.

      Earlier it was reported that the Nizhny Novgorod mayor’s office will allocate 12 million rubles to purchase New Year gifts for children.
