The Krasnoye Sormovo Shipyard sent a crab catcher-processor to St. Petersburg for completion.
07 October 2025 17:58 Economy "Krasnoye Sormovo" in Nizhny Novgorod has sent to Saint Petersburg for completion of construction, as well as for berthing and sea trials, the second vessel of project KSP01 — the crab catcher-processor "Kildin." This was reported by the company's press service.
Recall that the hull was laid at the shipyard under the federal investment program "Quotas under the Keel." In April this year the crab catcher was launched.
Construction is being carried out on the principle of a "distributed shipyard." After the hull was built and the main work completed in Nizhny Novgorod, "Kildin," accompanied by two tugs, was sent to Saint Petersburg for finishing and trials. A sectional floating dock structure was used for the transport.
It was reported that the "Krasnoye Sormovo" plant is being modernized at a cost of 7.5 billion rubles.
