Kurenkov became the Minister of Housing and Utilities of the Nizhny Novgorod Region without the "acting" prefix.

      06 October 2025 18:36 Politics Mikhail Kurenkov has been appointed Minister of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. The order by which he took office on October 3 was signed by the region’s governor, Gleb Nikitin.

      Recall that since May 16, 2024, Kurenkov had led the department in the capacity of acting minister.

      He has worked in the housing and communal services sector of the Nizhny Novgorod Region for more than 20 years. After graduating from VVAGS, he began his career at the regional State Housing Inspectorate, where he spent ten years, rising from chief specialist to head of a department.

      In 2021, Kurenkov moved to the region’s Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services as head of a department.

      Earlier it was reported that the governor gained a new deputy — Alexander Pavlov.
