Nizhny Novgorod residents will meet famous writers at the book fair.

      In Nizhny Novgorod on October 10 and 11, meetings with writers organized by the Peshkov Center will take place at the Main Fair House. The events are united under the program "Literary Detachment" and will be part of the First Nizhny Novgorod Book Fair (0+).

      On October 10 at 3:00 p.m. a presentation of Irina Bugrysheva's book will begin in the conference hall of the fair house. At 4:00 p.m. a creative meeting with Zakhar Prilepin will take place in the Fair's Coat of Arms Hall. The topic of the conversation will be "Russian Literature: Paths of Development."

      From 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. an evening of patriotic poetry will be held in the conference hall. Participating poets and writers include Anna Revyakina, Igor Karaulov, Maria Vatulina, Oleg Demidov, Vladimir Bezdenezhnykh, Marina Kulakova, Vladimir Reshetnikov, Dmitry Terentyev and Margarita Shuvalova.

      On October 11 the literary program will continue with an open discussion "New Military Prose: Reflection and Perspective," which will take place on the central stage of the book fair.

      The first part of the meeting is scheduled from 11:45 a.m. to 12:45 p.m. It will feature German Sadulaev, Anna Revyakina, Alexey Korovashko and Alexey Volynets. The moderator will be writer and literary scholar Oleg Demidov. At 1:45 p.m. the second part of the discussion will begin. It will include Zakhar Prilepin, Irina Bugrysheva, Igor Karaulov and Vladimir Bezdenezhnykh. The conversation will be led by literary critic and journalist Alexey Kolobrodov.

      All events are free and open to everyone.

      Recall that on October 6 the "Russian Book Week" will begin in Nizhny Novgorod. Its main venue will be the Nizhny Novgorod Fair. From October 10 to 12 the First Nizhny Novgorod Book Fair will take place here, during which lectures, master classes, author meetings, interactive events and presentations of new books will be held.

      It was previously reported that Zakhar Prilepin became the chairman of the Nizhny Novgorod branch of the Union of Writers.
