      The construction of the main sewage collector in Dzerzhinsk is in its final stage; it is 95% complete. This was reported by the city district administration. This large-scale project is being carried out as part of the federal project for the development of water supply and sanitation systems in cities of the Russian Federation and is in line with the goals of the national project "Infrastructure for Life."

      "The construction of the most important infrastructure facility, which is of great significance for Dzerzhinsk, is being completed. The new sewage collector and the main pumping station being built under the federal project will create conditions for the further development of residential and industrial construction and will improve the quality of life for Dzerzhinsk residents. The use of modern technologies in the construction of the station will significantly increase the reliability of the city's sanitation system," noted the head of the city, Mikhail Klinkov.

      At present, finishing works are being completed in the machine room and on the facade, as well as completion of the building envelope and commissioning works.

      "All automation and the installed pump units have already been tested. The current issue is filling the networks in order to test the system in an operational environment. We expect that this facility will be put into operation by the end of the current year," said the deputy head of the city of Dzerzhinsk, Denis Dergunov.

      The project provides for full automation of the process; however, at the initial stage of operation an operator will be present to monitor the system.

      Thus, the new sewage pumping station will become a key element of the city's modern infrastructure, ensuring high-quality utility services for residents.

      Recall that from 2025, at the initiative of the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, the implementation of the new national project "Infrastructure for Life" began in Russia. Its goal is to provide citizens with socially significant infrastructure of a new quality. The project consists of 11 federal projects, which include areas previously envisaged in the national projects "Housing and Urban Environment," "Safe and High-Quality Roads," and in the state programs of the Russian Federation: "Formation of a Comfortable Urban Environment," "Modernization of Utility Infrastructure," "Housing," "Development of Infrastructure in Settlements," "A New Pace of Construction," "Central Transport Hub," "Road Traffic Safety," "Regional Roads," "Federal Highways," "Development of Road Economy," and "Public Transport."
