The award ceremony for the best employees was held on the Gorky Railway in honor of Company Day.

      01 October 2025 17:38 Society The best employees of the Gorky Railway were awarded state, industry and corporate honors in celebration of Company Day, which is annually observed at OJSC Russian Railways on October 1.

      Railway workers were presented with letters of appreciation from the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation, the management of OJSC Russian Railways and the head of the Gorky Railway, as well as from the administration of the Kanavinsky District of the city of Nizhny Novgorod. In total, more than 20 employees of the Gorky Railway were recognized.

      “Today we celebrate the 22nd anniversary of our company — OJSC Russian Railways. This date symbolizes a long journey, years of hard work and development. About 40 thousand highly skilled specialists work on the Gorky Railway, each making an invaluable contribution to the common cause. Together we have organized many large projects, are modernizing infrastructure, implementing advanced technologies, and new horizons of development lie ahead of us,” said Sergey Dorofeevsky, head of the Gorky Railway — a branch of OJSC Russian Railways, in his congratulatory speech.

      For many years of conscientious service in railway transport, for showing initiative in fulfilling production tasks, for a significant personal contribution to improving its operation and in connection with Company Day of OJSC Russian Railways, by order of the General Director — Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC Russian Railways Oleg Belozyorov, the badge “Honorary Railway Worker of OJSC Russian Railways” was awarded to electric train driver Andrey Gromov and flaw-detector trolley operator Yuri Pavlikov.

      Badges for impeccable service in railway transport for 30 years and 20 years were awarded to cargo and baggage clerk Maya Gurova and wagon acceptance inspector Alexey Galkin, respectively.

      A letter of appreciation from the Minister of Transport of the Russian Federation was announced for transport service agent Svetlana Tsikunova, senior electronics specialist Dmitry Samoylov, and dispatcher Natalya Lemesheva.

      Thus, by order of the head of the Gorky Railway — a branch of OJSC Russian Railways, Sergey Dorofeevsky, the title “Honorary Worker of the Gorky Railway” was conferred on Olga Kurguzova, a veteran of the Nizhny Novgorod Center for the Organization of Work of Railway Stations of the Gorky Directorate of Traffic Management.

      Also, as part of the company’s 22nd anniversary, a creative festival “Together” was held at the Central Palace of Culture of Railway Workers — an exhibition of culinary skill and decorative and applied arts by employees of the Gorky Railway, as well as master classes on making candles, bouquets and greeting cards.
