      Alexander Pavlov has officially become deputy governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region. He assumed his duties on October 1, the regional government’s press service reported.

      He will oversee the regional security, protection of state secrets and mobilization preparedness portfolio. In addition, he will coordinate the work of the department responsible for supporting the activities of justices of the peace, the bar and notary services.

      Recall that Pavlov replaced Petr Bannikov in this post. He served in the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation for more than 27 years. For the past year and a half he was head of security at the 70th Anniversary of Victory plant.

      It was earlier revealed that the Committee for Archives was transferred to the portfolio of deputy governor Oleg Berkovich.
