Workers' wages rose by 15% over the year in the Nizhny Novgorod region.

September 29, 2025, 09:47 Economy In the Nizhny Novgorod region, demand has increased for specialists in manual and manufacturing occupations. According to the hh.ru service, about 10,000 vacancies were opened in these segments in August 2025, which is almost 39% of the total number of offers on the regional labor market (25,900 vacancies).

Thus, more than a third of all jobs in the region are related to the manufacturing sector. However, such high demand is accompanied by a noticeable labor shortage: there are on average only 3–4 resumes per vacancy.

Against this backdrop, wages in manual and manufacturing industries are growing faster than the market average. Over the year — from August 2024 to August 2025 — the median offered salary in the region increased by 13%: from 62,100 to 70,000 rubles.

Growth in the manufacturing sector was even more pronounced — +14%, from 80,000 to 91,600 rubles. In the "production workers" category the dynamics were even higher — +15%, from 80,500 to 92,300 rubles.

Some employers offer significantly higher pay. For example, a service engineer at TetraPak can earn up to 400,000 rubles per month. A candy packer — up to 339,000, and a packer at an automobile plant — up to 329,000 rubles per month.

Couriers delivering multi-orders and light parcels can expect a monthly income of about 301,000 rubles. A low-loader driver and a construction equipment technician are offered up to 250,000 rubles per month.

Earlier, the most in-demand professions in the Nizhny Novgorod region were announced.
