Investigators have launched an inquiry after a minibus crash in Nizhny Novgorod.
28 September 2025 15:53 Incidents — A preliminary investigation has been opened in Nizhny Novgorod into a mass traffic accident involving a bus on Lenin Avenue. This was reported by the regional office of the Investigative Committee of Russia.
The order to conduct the investigation was given by the head of the investigative department for Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Ayrat Akhmetshin. An investigator from the department for the Leninsky District of Nizhny Novgorod has joined the work.
Investigative Committee officers are now clarifying all details of what happened. As part of the inquiry, a legal assessment will be made regarding compliance with safety requirements in the field of passenger transportation.
In addition, the Nizhny Novgorod Oblast prosecutor’s office is conducting its own check into the accident, which left several people hospitalized.
