The Belarusian trolleybus "Olgerd" has entered service on a route in Nizhny Novgorod.

The BKM 32100D "Olgerd" trolleybus, which arrived in Nizhny Novgorod last week for testing, has entered service. It will serve passengers on route No. 1 "Strelka Metro – Chaadaevo platform." Before entering service, the technical specialists of Nizhegorodelectrotrans conducted a comprehensive inspection of the new trolleybus.
"The new Belarusian-made trolleybus model has arrived in Nizhny Novgorod for testing for two months. During this time we will study its technical characteristics and observe it in operation. Several of our drivers who underwent special training at the manufacturer's plant and received the appropriate certificates will be testing the new vehicle," said Deputy General Director of the State Enterprise of the Nizhny Novgorod Region "Nizhegorodelectrotrans," Vladislav Kuptsov.
The "Olgerd" 32100D model was produced at the BKM Holding plant in Minsk. The trolleybus is equipped with batteries and can operate in autonomous mode. The driver's cab interior was designed and manufactured according to European quality standards. The passenger compartment is fitted with 35 seats and has a maximum capacity of 95 passengers. In addition, the "Olgerd" features a spacious low‑floor boarding area for strollers. The cabin is also equipped with air conditioning and USB ports for charging mobile devices.
Based on the results of the test operation and the enterprise specialists' report, a decision will be made on the advisability of using this trolleybus model in Nizhny Novgorod.
