A car carrying people fell from a bridge in Vyksa; one person was killed.
27 September 2025 08:30 Incidents: A drunk driver caused a fatal road accident in Vyksa. Details were shared by the press service of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia for Nizhny Novgorod Region.
The accident occurred on Navashinskoe Highway at approximately 23:00 on September 26. According to preliminary data, the 39-year-old driver of a Hyundai, while intoxicated, lost control and crashed into the railing of a bridge over the railway tracks. After the impact the car flew into a ditch.
As a result of the accident a male passenger was killed. The second passenger — a woman — and the driver were taken to the central district hospital.
Traffic police officers continue to establish all the circumstances of the incident.
