Volunteers of Victory are holding a photo exhibition “For ours. For the president” in Nizhny Novgorod schools.
A thematic traveling photo exhibition, "Za nashikh. Za prezidenta," has opened in Nizhny Novgorod schools. The exhibition was organized by the Nizhny Novgorod regional branch of the All‑Russian public movement "Volunteers of Victory" with the support of the government of Nizhny Novgorod Region. The organization of the exhibition aligns with the goals and objectives of the national project "Youth and Children," one of whose directions is to attract children and young people to patriotic activities. The purpose of the exhibition is to strengthen the patriotic spirit among young people and to unite citizens around key national values. The exhibition features a series of photographic portraits of participants in the special military operation. The exhibition tells the stories of veterans and participants of the SMO whose deeds have become embodiments of courage and love of the Motherland. Another important theme of the exhibition is the role of the leader in contemporary Russian history, determining the course toward sovereignty, social justice, and the continuity of traditions.
Students of School No. 20 in Nizhny Novgorod were the first to see the photo exhibition. Until the end of 2025, the organizers plan to present the exhibition in 50 educational institutions across 12 districts of Nizhny Novgorod Region so that as many students as possible can be exposed to the ideas of patriotism and civic solidarity.
"The exhibition is much more than just a collection of photographs. It is an honest conversation with youth in the language of truth and respect. We deliberately chose schools to launch the project because it is here, within the walls where our children grow up, that it is important to instill not only knowledge but also moral benchmarks. Through the fates and portraits of veterans and participants of the SMO we show living history — a history of courage that is being made before our eyes today. Our project is about the continuous connection between generations; about the fact that the values our grandfathers defended during the Great Patriotic War — love of the Motherland, self‑sacrifice, fidelity to duty — are being just as honestly and bravely embodied today by our contemporaries," shared Maria Samodelkina, head of the NRO VOD "Volunteers of Victory."
Recall that from 2025, by order of President Vladimir Putin, the national project "Youth and Children" began to operate in Russia, carrying out tasks previously provided for in the national projects "Education" and "Science and Universities." The national project is aimed at creating opportunities for the development of talents and self‑realization of young people, and at fostering a responsible and highly moral individual. At the center of the national project are the construction and renovation of schools, professional development for teachers, the creation of new teaching methods, and comfortable learning conditions. Special attention is paid to supporting talented young people, including young professionals.
The national project includes nine federal projects and programs: "Russia — a Land of Opportunities," "We Are Together," "Russia in the World," "All the Best for Children," "Leading Schools," "Teachers and Mentors," "Creation of a Network of Modern Campuses," "Universities for a Generation of Leaders," and "Professionalitet."
