In Nizhny Novgorod, two apartment buildings No. 7 and No. 9 located on Pochainsky Ravine Street will undergo major renovations. This is reported in the GIS EGRZ.
Both buildings were constructed in 1917 and are part of the city's historic fabric.
The project documentation for each of the sites underwent a non-state expert review. Positive conclusions were issued by LLC "Sibstroyexpert" from Krasnoyarsk. The client is the non-profit organization "Fund for Major Repairs of Apartment Buildings Located in the Territory of the Nizhny Novgorod Region." The design contractor is the company "Architectural and Construction Workshop 'Povolzhye-Center'."
Building No. 7 is a three-story brick building with two entrances and 12 apartments. Building No. 9 also has three stories, but one entrance and ten apartments.
The major renovation of the buildings is taking place against the backdrop of large-scale improvement of the entire Pochainsky Ravine area. The project was presented back in 2022. It was reported that a terraced park will be created here with recreation areas, an amphitheater, a skatepark, bicycle and pedestrian paths, as well as viewing platforms and water features. Work began at the end of 2023 and is scheduled to be completed by November 1, 2025.
According to the latest data, slope stabilization of the ravine is currently underway through the construction of retaining walls and anchor fields, and these works are over 75% complete. Construction of a new pedestrian bridge to replace a dilapidated one is also in progress; its readiness is estimated at 30%. In addition, more than half of the work has been completed on the construction of a 95-meter pedestrian tunnel that will connect the two parts of the ravine on Dobrolyubova Street.
