A new serious incident occurred at School No. 117 in the Sormovsky District, which had previously been in the spotlight over a stabbing incident. A video is spreading on social networks showing a student being forced to kneel and apologize to the camera.
The footage shows a teenager being made to apologize on camera. The post’s authors call him a "local bully." The video was actively forwarded among the school's students, reports NIA "Nizhny Novgorod."
The Department of Education of the Nizhny Novgorod administration confirmed that the teenager’s identity has been established. Specialists are now clarifying the circumstances of the incident and identifying the person who filmed the humiliating scene. An internal investigation has been launched at the school, and an expanded meeting with the teaching staff has been scheduled. Following the inquiry, a prevention council will be held, and appropriate measures are promised against all participants in the incident. Recall that in March 2025 a student at this school attacked two classmates right in the classroom, inflicting stab wounds. The victims required medical assistance, and an examination determined that minor bodily harm had been inflicted. A criminal case was opened on the charge of "Attempted murder of two or more persons." The investigation has already been completed and its materials have been forwarded to the court.
In addition, the Sormovsky District prosecutor's office has approved an indictment against the school's former principal. The investigation believes she failed to ensure the necessary level of safety: she did not approve regulations on the access control regime and ordered the metal detectors at the entrance to be removed, which allowed the student to bring a knife into the school. The former principal is accused of exceeding her official powers, which resulted in grave consequences.
