      The Khokhloma brand has become the official outfitter of the Russian national figure skating team. The cooperation agreement will be in effect for the entire 2025/2026 sports season.

      As part of the partnership, the Khokhloma brand has prepared a special equipment collection for the skaters in the craft's traditional colors familiar to everyone: black, red, gold, and also white — which completes the palette, is associated with the winter sport, and with the white ice.

      The new collection includes tracksuits, jackets, fleece tops that athletes will wear at competitions, as well as T‑shirts, hats and scarves featuring the traditional element of Khokhloma painting — the kudrina. The design combines a vivid national identity with modern technological solutions that meet all the requirements of professional sport.

      "For the Nizhny Novgorod region this event has special significance. Khokhloma is our national symbol, the pride of the region. The history of domestic figure skating is a history of golden victories. It is symbolic that it is precisely the Khokhloma brand, whose foundation is gold, that will now accompany our athletes. May the new uniform become part of new bright victories!" emphasized the governor of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, Gleb Nikitin.

      Some items of the equipment are already available for sale to the general public in the brand's stores and online store.

      "In the new season our guys will have an original uniform — a great collection of beautiful and comfortable sportswear created by the Khokhloma brand in collaboration with the talented and acclaimed designer Alena Akhmadullina, who has previously worked with some of our skaters. The cooperation between our Federation and the Khokhloma brand is no accident. Khokhloma's unique items in red, black and gold are known worldwide, and, you must admit, it is hard not to make associations with the color gold. The history of domestic figure skating is a chronicle of golden victories, golden traditions of our sport, these are the golden names of our outstanding skaters and coaches," said the president of the FFKKR, Olympic champion Anton Sikharulidze.

      Background:

      The history of Khokhloma painting spans more than three centuries. Born in the Nizhny Novgorod land, this folk craft acquired the status of a calling card of Russian art thanks to a unique technology of "gilding" wooden items without the use of real gold. The heyday of the Khokhloma craft came in the second half of the 19th century.

      In 2024 the Khokhloma brand was created, whose mission is to return the Khokhloma craft to the everyday life of the modern person and to promote it in various spheres of public life. Work to reinterpret the craft is being built, among other things, through collaborations with artists and designers. Thus, the first collaboration of the Khokhloma brand was a joint project with Russian designer Alena Akhmadullina. The collection includes interior decor, household goods, clothing, tableware, furniture and jewelry. Each item here is a "bridge" between the past and the present of the Russian style.
