      A serious crash with a fatality occurred in Sarov, Nizhny Novgorod region, on the morning of September 26.

      According to the regional traffic police, at about 9:23 on Zernovaya Street near house No. 35, a 63-year-old driver of a Lada X-Ray began to turn left at an uncontrolled intersection. During the maneuver he failed to yield to a Chevrolet Cruze driven by a 50-year-old man. A severe collision occurred. A 66-year-old passenger of the Lada died of his injuries.

      Both drivers sustained various injuries and were taken to a medical facility. According to preliminary information, there were no signs of alcohol intoxication in the crash participants.

      Law enforcement authorities continue to investigate the circumstances of the incident.
