In Nizhny Novgorod, a person died as a result of a large fire in the gardeners' association "Metallurg-3". The incident occurred on the afternoon of 23 September, the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations for the region reported.
According to rescuers, a report of the fire was received by emergency services in the afternoon.
Two garden houses together with outbuildings were completely destroyed by the fire. The total area of the fire was about 200 square meters.
Putting out the blaze required the efforts of 32 firefighters and 7 pieces of firefighting equipment. Despite the prompt work of the rescuers, the tragedy could not be avoided.
A fatality was found at the scene — a man born in 1975.
Specialists are currently establishing the cause of the fire.
Earlier it was reported that a fire in Nizhny Novgorod had resulted in the death of an elderly couple.
