Two steps away from the championship

      In the last two rounds the Bolshoye Murashkino team recorded brilliant victories. In an away match on September 6, Progress defeated FC Niva (Gagino) 5:2 in a hard-fought battle, and last Saturday a game against Pochinkovsky Arsenal was held on our pitch, ending in a crushing 10:1 score for the hosts.

Our scorers were: Aleksandr Morozov — hat-trick, Maksim Samoshin — brace, Aleksandr Storozhilov — brace, Alexey Frolov and Ivan Peryshkin with one goal each, and another goal was sliced into their own net by a visiting defender.

      At the moment Progress tops the league table with 43 points. FC Sechenovo is 2 points behind, and FC ReForma-SNK trails the leader by 6 points; although they still have mathematical chances for the gold, in reality it will be extremely difficult to realize them — the goal difference is too large if everything else is equal. Sechenovo plays against a highly motivated Niva, and if they drop points and Progress wins, the Bolshoye Murashkino team could secure first place one round before the end of the Championship. But one must not rely on the mercy of opponents; we must take what is ours and win by a clear margin.
