      Athletes from Nizhny Novgorod Oblast achieved impressive success at the 2025 Muay Thai World Championships, held in Abu Dhabi. Representatives of the region won 12 medals, demonstrating a high level of preparation and skill.

      As reported by the Minister of Sport of Nizhny Novgorod Oblast, Dmitry Kabaylo, on his Telegram channel, 14 Muay Thai fighters were part of the regional team, and 12 of them returned home with awards.

      According to the minister, such a result is evidence of the coordinated work of the regional Muay Thai federation, as well as the daily efforts of the athletes and their coaches.

      The following athletes climbed to the top step of the podium: Maksim Zhdankov, Lada Zhokhova, Artyom Obidin, Margarita Klyukina, Mikhail Akishin, Aleksandra Lytova and Mikhail Malov.

      Silver medals in their categories were won by Vera Mukhina, Bogdan Rogozhkin, Konstantin Manakov and Vladimir Vladimirskiy. Vasilina Pryamikova brought a bronze medal to the team.

      "I am proud of our athletes and thank their coaches for their work, faith and dedication," Dmitry Kabaylo noted.

      Earlier it was reported that the footballers of Pari Nizhny Novgorod lost their home RPL match to Akhmat from Grozny.
