      Doctors saved a Nizhny Novgorod pensioner with a dislodged blood clot. This was reported on his Telegram channel by the editor-in-chief of the medical news agency "Stacionar-press", Aleksey Nikonov.

      An elderly man was admitted to the N.A. Semashko Regional Hospital with an acute stroke caused by a clot. However, standard treatment proved impossible because the patient was regularly taking an anticoagulant. This made it impossible to dissolve the clot.

      The doctors then used a monoclonal antibody to neutralize the effect of the blood-thinning medication.

      After the intervention, the stroke symptoms completely disappeared. The man now feels well and is undergoing a course of rehabilitation.
