In 2025, four municipalities in the Moscow region — Solnechnogorsk, Lytkarino, the Bogorodsk district and Zaraysk — plan to complete construction of new treatment facilities. Next year their number will increase to 20. Governor Andrey Vorobyov noted that modernization of housing and communal services is one of the region’s priority tasks.
According to TV channel "360", the program is aimed at renewing treatment plants, water supply networks and water intake units.
Since 2018, 15 treatment plants have already been built, improving the quality of life in the region. In 2026 new facilities will appear in Orekhovo‑Zuyevo, Pavlovsky Posad, Ramenskoye and other towns. By 2028 about 43 km of water supply and 24 km of sewer networks are planned to be reconstructed in the Solnechnogorsk district, for which 4.5 billion rubles have been allocated.
The new treatment plants will provide clean water to 70,000 people, including 418 residential buildings, 46 social facilities and 10 enterprises. The project is being implemented with federal funding. Vorobyov emphasized the need to modernize feeder networks, dewater and incinerate sludge fields, and improve water intake units and water supply systems.
This year in Solnechnogorsk 1.2 km of water supply lines from Lake Senezh were upgraded and the water treatment plant was repaired. They will complete construction of a bypass line on the main sewer collector, which will affect more than 131,000 residents.
