A UAZ Patriot confiscated from a drunk driver was handed over for the needs of the special military operation.

      The UAZ Patriot seized from a drunk driver in Nizhny Novgorod was sent for use in the special military operation zone. The decision to transfer the vehicle was made after the enforcement proceedings were completed. This was reported by the Main Directorate of the Federal Bailiff Service (FSSP) for the region.

      According to the department, traffic police officers detained a 44-year-old Nizhny Novgorod resident at the "Orlovskie Dvoriki" checkpoint for driving under the influence of alcohol. The man had previously been held administratively liable for a similar offense, whereupon his actions were qualified under Article 264.1 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation.

      The court found the driver guilty and ordered the vehicle to be confiscated in favor of the state. Enforcement proceedings were initiated at Bailiff Service Department No. 2 of the Avtozavodsky District.

      After the vehicle was impounded and all necessary documents were processed, the bailiff sent a request to the Russian Ministry of Defense proposing that the confiscated UAZ Patriot be used in the interests of the army. The military department supported the initiative, noting that the off-roader would be useful to fighters for carrying out operational tasks.

      The transfer of the vehicle to representatives of the Ministry of Defense took place under a transfer-acceptance report. With that, the enforcement proceedings were completed.

      Earlier it was reported that a Chery Tiggo 8 PRO seized from a drunk female driver was sent to the SVO zone.
