The Bogoyavlenskaya estate in Nizhny Novgorod has been declared unsafe.

      Society. Apartment building No. 41 (the E.I. Bogoyavlenskaya Estate), located on Bolshaya Pecherskaya Street in Nizhny Novgorod, has been officially declared unsafe. This was reported by the regional branch of the All-Russia People's Front.

      According to the ONF, major repairs have not been carried out in the building, which is recognized as a cultural heritage site of regional significance, for more than forty years. Over that time the building has fallen into a critical condition. Residents have been facing heating outages for the second winter in a row due to frequent failures in the engineering networks.

      The situation is aggravated by the fact that the building is gradually subsiding. Serious deformations are noticeable inside: the interfloor slabs have shifted, and the staircase leading to the second floor has tilted dangerously. The roof is in a deplorable state — through-holes allow precipitation in, further damaging the structure.

      After the People's Front appealed to address the problem, the relevant agencies got involved — the Ministry of Energy and Housing and Communal Services of the Nizhny Novgorod Region, as well as the State Housing Inspectorate.

      Specialists conducted a technical inspection of the building. Based on the results of the inspection, an official report was prepared and sent to the administration's interdepartmental commission for further decisions.

      Recall that in July 2025 the head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, took an interest in the Bogoyavlenskaya estate's emergency condition.
